Children should be taught how to remove earrings safely so that they can be taken out on days where PE may take place on an unscheduled day.Īn inexpensive watch may be worn (but any type of fitness or smart watch is not permitted). It is recommended, therefore, that any ear piercings take place at the start of the summer holiday to allow ears to heal during the school closure period. On days when these activities are scheduled, children must leave their earrings at home - children should not come to school wearing earrings on these days. Children who are participating in P.E., swimming, sports clubs and/or physical activities must not wear earrings. If parents opt for their child to wear earrings they must only be small plain studs. Earrings are strongly discouraged in school. We do not allow children to wear most jewellery.
